On 23 September 2026, Topchubashov Center Director Rusif Huseynov participated in the 2026 APRI Forum, organized by APRI Armenia in Yerevan under the theme "Sketching the Architecture of Change."

Huseynov spoke at the panel titled "Strengthening Agency for the South Caucasus Countries Amid Great Power Competition," alongside Alex Petriashvili, Senior Fellow at the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies (GFSIS), and Benyamin Poghosyan, Senior Research Fellow at APRI Armenia. The discussion was moderated by Anahide Pilibossian, Vice President for Strategy and Development at APRI Armenia.

The panel examined the evolving geopolitical environment in the South Caucasus and the ways Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia can strengthen their agency amid growing competition among external powers. Rusif Huseynov shared his views on recent geopolitical developments in the region and the prospects for greater regional cooperation and integration.
